- Between 2001-2003 the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) collected reconnaissance single-beam and shallow-water multibeam bathymetric data during surveys H11043, H11044, and H11045 in north-central Long Island Sound. This DVD contains the orial bathymetric data and, to provide complete-coverage datasets, both grids and imagery of interpolated versions. The bathymetric data, imagery, and overviews are provided to help define the topographic variability of the sea floor, improve our understanding of surficial processes, and provide a detailed framework for future research, monitoring, and management activities. This DVD-ROM publication can be viewed utilizing any current web browser. To begin, open the file "index.htm" located in the top-level directory. Refer to the readme.txt "file located at the top level directory of this DVD-ROM for information on file formats and directory structure as well as contact information in case of questions regarding this publication and the data content. Contents are intended for use on either UNIX, Macintosh, or Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP platforms.
