- This disc contains the Alaskan Organic Geochemical Data Base (AOGDB), developed by the USGS in 1978 to archive the results of various petroleum geochemical analyses of the Alaska resource assessment, in a relational database table format. The relational database file, akdata.mdb, was created using Microsoft Access 97. The reports and documents on the CD are in Microsoft Word 6.0/95, generic text with layout (.ans), and rich text format (.rtf). The spatial data were created using Environmental Systems Research Institute's (ESRI) shapefile and ESRI ARC/INFO export (ARC/INFO version 7.1.1).
