Before purchasing a pass you should carefully consider which federal pass best suits your needs. In addition to the Interagency Passes many agencies offer location-specific passes for sale at individual recreation areas, and site-specific digital passes are available from Recreation.gov
Have you checked the site(s) you plan to visit? Are they open and collecting fees?
IF yes, proceed to next question, if no you might not need a pass at this time.
To determine if an Interagency Pass is right for you at THIS time, it is very important to contact the federal recreation site directly for closure and fee updates before departing for your destination. National parks and federal recreation areas may reopen and/or resume charging fees on different dates based on local conditions and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guidance.
Is your trip two weeks or more from now?
If Yes, proceed to purchase, if no, you might not get your pass in time for your trip. Try to purchase your pass at the first park on your itinerary after verifying that passes are being sold. SITE LOCATIONS THAT ISSUE PASSES
